The interpretation of your astrology chart begins on the following page.
You will find that the interpretation of your
chart is written in simple language, uncluttered by astrological
jargon. If a statement appears to contradict another statement, then
you exhibit these opposite qualities at different times in your life.
For example, a statement that you are highly sociable and gregarious
and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly contradict each
other; this means that you vacillate, and need both sociability and
solitude at different times.
The astrological factor that the interpretation
is based on is also given. The astrological factor is given for the
benefit of astrologers and students of astrology. If you are not a
student of astrology, then obviously the factor will not be meaningful
to you, and you can ignore it.
If you find this interpretation of your birth
chart interesting and informative, you might want to discuss your birth
chart with a professional astrologer to learn more about the
astrological influences on your life.

Chapter 1: General Characteristics
fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized
by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique
balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration,
enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air
(social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and
Your "elemental make-up" is described below.
Remember that most people are "unbalanced" or lopsided, and if you are
lacking or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply
means that you need to consciously develop that aspect of yourself to
learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that dimension of life.
Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are
least endowed with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more
often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be
reiterated and explained in more detail in the following chapters.
You possess a measure of all the elements and
are thus less likely than others to overemphasize or completely neglect
one dimension of experience for another. You are capable of both
thinking and feeling, envisioning possibilities and dealing effectively
with the here-and-now and so on. This does not mean that you do not
have definite preferences and attitudes (these will be covered in the
following chapters), nor even that you do not overdo or go overboard in
your own particular way. But you are a more varied and complex person,
less one-sided than many other people are, and you are able to draw on
all of the elemental qualities when appropriate. In addition, you are
able to relate to most people, recognizing a bit of yourself in their
ways and values.

Chapter 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others
The following is a description of your basic
stance towards life, the way others see you, the way you come across,
the face you show to the world. In Chapter 3 you will read about the
"The Inner You: Your Real Motivation", which describes the kind of
person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read this
chapter and the next one and compare them - there may be significant
differences between them, in which case "the inner you" may not shine
through and others are in for some surprises when they get to know you
at a more than superficial level. This chapter describes the costume
you wear, your role in life, while Chapter 3 talks about the real
person inside the costume.
You appear gentle and soft, and you act rather
reserved with others until you know them well and feel it is safe to be
open with them. You have a strong need for emotional security and a
sense of belonging, and are deeply attached to the past: your heritage,
roots, family, cherished friends, familiar places, etc. Making radical
changes or moves away from what is known and safe can be very painful
and difficult for you. You tend to cling and hold on to people,
memories, possessions of personal or sentimental significance. Having a
home, a safe haven, is very important to you.
You approach life emotionally and subjectively
and are sensitive to the emotional atmosphere, the subtle undercurrents
of feeling in and around you. Instinctive and nonrational, you are
often unable to give a clear, simple explanation for your actions.
Something FEELS right, or it doesn't.
Your emotions and personal loyalties tend to
color your thoughts and opinions. You view life from a very personal
perspective and often cannot mentally detach yourself from your own
personal bias and prejudices. You are apt to be concerned primarily
with how something affects you and those dear and close to you, rather
than with the principle or the broader social implications. For
instance, you may be very patriotic and feel that whatever "my country"
does is right without really knowing much about the other nation's
policies or point of view. Put simply: if it is good for me and mine,
it is good. If it is not good for me and mine, it is no good.
You are tenaciously loyal, protective, and
supportive of those you care about, and have a very strong nurturing,
motherly nature (regardless of your gender). You empathize with others
and intuitively sense the feelings and needs of other people.
Compassionate and sympathetic, you are easily moved by others' pain,
and you are often the one others seek out when they need comfort,
reassurance, or help.
Your moods fluctuate and change frequently and
you are sometimes open, sometimes withdrawn emotionally. You
communicate nonverbally and appreciate a person who can pick up subtle
cues and hints, rather than having to make everything explicit.
You never forget either kindness or unkindness shown to you.
Despite the fact that your core self is
quite a bit different from the face the world generally sees, you have
a strong desire to be seen and recognized, to be acknowledged, and to
have a significant influence on people in your environment. You may do
remarkable things in order to be noticed. However, you often don't get
the full recognition you wish for.
You have an appealing physical appearance
and this, along with your winning ways, is apt to make you a favorite
in your immediate environment. You're the "easy" one, and you know how
to please others. Don't take your personal charm for granted, however,
because you may also seem vain or too needy for approval.
In significant ways, your emotional
nature and personal needs are at odds with the way you present
yourself. (Compare this chapter with the description of your moon sign
in Chapter 4.) As a result of this inconsistency, you may be
uncomfortable showing your instinctive responses and true feelings. You
may put them aside, maybe even be ashamed of them.
When you are in an emotionally charged
situation, those who don't know you well may be quite surprised at your
reactions or behavior. The real challenge, though, is to completely
accept yourself, so that you don't act as if your emotional needs and
impulses didn't count for very much.

Chapter 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation
Although you appear gentle and soft, and you
are sympathetic towards other people (as explained in the previous
chapter), you are also a "warrior". You sometimes feel torn between
these two aspects of yourself: the sensitive, tender-hearted,
home-loving side, and the assertive, competitive, risk-taking side.
Often people who first meet you think that you are a "softy", but later
find out that you are a person with a strong will and aggressive in
pursuing your goals.
You are a person who thrives on challenge, and
you often feel that you must battle your way through life, depending
upon no one and nothing but your own strength, intelligence, and
courage. You believe in being totally honest, true to oneself and one's
own vision and convictions, even if that means standing alone. Honesty,
integrity, personal honor, and authenticity are your gods, and you have
no sympathy for weakness of character in others.
You crave the freedom to do things in your own
way, and you work very well independently. Cooperating with others or
carrying out another's will is not your style. You like to be the chief
-or to go it alone.
You love action and if others are settling down
into a nice, comfortable little rut, then you are always ready to stir
things up, do something new, make changes, bring in some fresh blood.
Routine and sameness are like death to you. You are not afraid of
trying something that's never been done before, and even though you may
be seen as a fool sometimes, you also discover, invent, and initiate
things that others will later emulate. Taking risks and following your
own star are the breath of life for you, and you wilt (or get very
frustrated and angry) if you cannot do this.
You are spontaneous, impulsive, direct,
enthusiastic, and assertive. You believe in the power of positive
thinking and positive action, and you think of yourself as a strong
person -even invincible. You hate being ill or in any way in a position
of dependency. Accepting your own human limitations and emotional needs
is often difficult for you.
You are basically aggressive in your attitudes
and have less facility in the receptive arts of relating to others,
picking up subtle messages and nuances, listening, nurturing, and
harmonizing. Often you are so fired up about your own projects or goals
that you inadvertently run over or ignore other people's feelings and
interests. Being receptive and appreciative of others' contributions,
ideas, and feelings would go a long way in improving your
relationships. Your impatience to get on with things causes you to be
rather insensitive, and to therefore alienate others unnecessarily. You
also frequently try to accomplish your ends by using anger or some
version of a temper tantrum. You would gain much by learning to slow
down, relax, and just let things be sometimes, but your energetic,
restless nature rarely allows you to do this.
Your career, reputation, and public image
are very important to you. You have a strong desire to be influential
or make your mark on the world. The merely personal sphere does not
satisfy you; your ambitions include making a major contribution and
receiving broad recognition for your unique effort and gifts. You may
undervalue the personal or inner side of life.
Your subconscious needs and feelings
blend well with your conscious intentions and desires, therefore you
are able to proceed in your life's pursuits relatively unhampered by
internal resistance or inconsistency. Your male-female relationships
will reflect this state of internal harmony also.
The unusual and unorthodox appeal to you, and
you do not allow tradition, convention, or other people's expectations
to dictate how you are going to live your life. You crave freedom,
adventure, excitement, and discovery, and are not afraid of change. You
possess inventive and creative genius.

Chapter 4: Mental Interests and Abilities
Your mind operates in a very deliberate and
methodical manner and you dislike being rushed or forced to give an
opinion before you have thoroughly ruminated and digested an idea. You
are also difficult to influence once your mind is made up.
Though slower to grasp new concepts or learn
new skills, you are patient and persevering and, in fact, often become
quite adept at whatever you put your mind and hand to, for you are
willing to devote much time and attention to it. You succeed not so
much because of your mental brilliance, but because you have the
ability to concentrate and follow a project through to its completion.
You have an aptitude for singing or drawing.
You think a great deal about your career,
your reputation and public image, and the way you make a contribution
or impact on the world at large. Public speaking or communications of
some other kind is likely to be an important aspect of the work you do.
You have an aptitude for solving difficult
mental problems due to your careful, methodical approach, attention to
detail, and tenacity in following a matter through to its conclusion.
You have good powers of concentration and enjoy studying and thinking
in solitude. You can get wrapped up entirely in your own thoughts and
completely engrossed in some small detail. You are slow and cautious,
but extremely thorough in your work. Conservative and something of a
skeptic, you may be narrow-minded or closed to any idea which has no
concrete proof or scientific verification. You prefer dealing with
facts rather than abstract speculation. You may also be distrustful or
fearful of anything you cannot understand with your rational mind. You
are well-suited to work in research or any field that requires careful
study and thought.
Although your thinking is precise and logical,
as described above, at times you can be quite the opposite. Periods of
absentmindedness, building castles in the air, or ruminating over
mystical, abstract, or imponderable subjects are also likely, as
Your mind is intuitive, imaginative, colorful,
and strongly influenced by imagery or fantasy. You see the world with
the eyes of an artist or a poet, and the hard sciences and fields of
endeavor based on concrete facts, rules or rigorous logic are not your
forte. At times you are able to perceive things that other people do
not, the "aura" of a place or a person for instance, while at the same
time you apparently do not see and/or overlook things that are
glaringly obvious to others. One problem you are prone to is you
project your fantasies, wishes, and dreams on to other people or an
outside situation, and simply do not see what is actually there.
You seem to have a sense of hopelessness and
you feel that everything you do is blocked or opposed by others. You
tend to under-estimate and belittle yourself and are inclined to get
lost in details. You may find it difficult to concentrate.

Chapter 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance
You are not easily moved by emotional displays
and can be curiously detached from your own and others' emotions. It's
almost as if you could turn your feelings on and off at will so you
should be careful not to leave the switch "off" too often, for you
could easily become too impersonal. Family ties and attachments are not
as important to you as they are to most people and you often consider
your friends closer to you than your blood relatives. Certainly, your
sympathy and concern extends much beyond your immediate family. In your
personal relationships, you insist upon a certain amount of
independence and the freedom to pursue friendships with as many people,
of both sexes, as you choose. You do not appreciate a jealous,
You feel comfortable in an atmosphere that is
open and experimental, and you have little taste for convention and
Though you want closeness very much, you often
close yourself off and do not really trust others who may wish to get
to know you. You are very wholehearted in your feelings and responses
to people, and you want all or nothing from the people you care for.
Serious and emotionally reserved, you were
probably never an exuberant, playful child, and you rarely express
yourself in a spontaneous, childlike manner. You are cautious about
letting others get close to you and sometimes withdraw from people
altogether. At times, even when you are with people, you feel lonely or
isolated. Learning to appreciate your own company and to find
satisfying solitary activities is essential to your emotional
In addition to your rather introverted,
serious, or self-contained side, you have a wild streak and urge for
emotional freedom that breaks through erratically. You crave both
stability and excitement, and the conflict between these two impulses
can make you rather tense and irritable. However, they can also balance
one another. Your more free and unpredictable side will now be
Your childhood and early home life was in many
ways unsettling and the nurturing you received was erratic and
unreliable at best. You have had to move a lot, or your family may have
had some conspicuous differences from other people so that you were
often an outsider or "weirdo". As an adult you may long for "normalcy"
while at the same time you balk at any routine, structure, formality,
When emotionally stressed at all, you often
become nervous or shaky. Developing a regular rhythm and a way of life
that is steady and consistent (if not traditional) would be beneficial
to you, both emotionally and physically.
Tremendously softhearted and sympathetic, you
give very selflessly and devotedly to those you love and often allow
others to become overly dependent upon you. More compassionate than
passionate, you may become romantically involved with someone because
they need love and you want to help them, rather than out of mutual
pleasure or attraction.
You are drawn to sensitive, imaginative, gentle
souls -poets, musicians, dreamers - or to someone you feel you can have
a deep spiritual relationship with. You idealize love and have a very
beautiful, romantic vision of what love can be.
You crave very intense, deep, emotional
relationships, and would even prefer a stormy, tumultuous relationship
to one which is smooth but lacking vitality and passion. You love
wholeheartedly and expect all-consuming, total devotion and attention
from your partner. Casual, light relationships hold no appeal for you.
You tend to suppress your feelings and approach
other people with great reserve. You may feel lonesome, but unable to
bridge the gap between you and others. But once you enter a
relationship, you will be faithful and steady in your feelings for your

Chapter 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals
You are proud and ambitious, and you strive to
excel, to stand out and be recognized for who and what you are. You
have a very strong ego drive and like to be Number One. You find it
difficult to take orders from others or to stay in the background, and
you hate being wrong; you always insist that you are right!
You are forceful, strong, energetic,
determined, and highly competitive. You play hard, you play to win, and
you do not give up easily. In fact, you see life as a competitive sport
or performance. You love admiration and applause, and you have a strong
sense of personal honor and integrity. You tend to be very
self-confident, even arrogant. Because of your belief in yourself, you
are able to accomplish much, but if your confidence is ever undermined,
you become self-conscious, defensive, and rather belligerent.
You are a doer and an achiever.
Energetic, courageous, and often impatient, you will forge ahead with
your plans regardless of others' reservations. In fact, you often feel
other people get in your way and you prefer working on your own. You
are active, assertive, and rather competitive as well.
Ordinary life often seems drab and
uninteresting to you and you must have something that stirs your
imagination, some vision or ideal or dream to motivate you. You have a
strong urge to act out your fantasies or to live your dream, and you
will DO things that others only talk about or dream about. Artistic
creation, drama, or other areas in which you can express yourself
imaginatively are excellent for you.
Work that serves only your own narrow personal
interests does not satisfy you. You may lack the competitive edge, the
fighting spirit, the me-first attitude that is often required for
material advancement and success. You also tend to either overestimate
or underestimate your own power and abilities.
You gain your objectives and ambitions in
life through your personal charm, attractiveness, ability to please
others visually and/or emotionally. A career in the arts or
entertainment world is possible for you. Anything involving sales or
promotion, particularly of beautiful or luxurious items, is an area you
can succeed in. Vanity or indiscretions in relationships could lead to
You have noble aspirations and grand
plans for yourself. Combining personal goals with humanitarian
concerns, philanthropy, and an interest in social betterment, you are
apt to be quite successful and influential in your community. You are
suited to large, expansive enterprises and dealing with wealth.
Your profession may be unusual, very
innovative and progressive, or outside the "mainstream", providing
alternative services or products. A certain uneven, erratic quality
characterizes your career and rise in the professional arena. Sudden
changes of fortune, unexpected upsets, and twists of fate are likely.
You are very generous and your style of life is
likely to be grandiose. A very gracious host, you display a warm heart
and gladness when you meet other people. You have the ability to
radiate your inner happiness and show your affection for others.

Chapter 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy
You believe strongly in the power of
positivity and in each individual's ability to make life anything
desired through one's own initiative and effort. The more you rely on
yourself, the better you feel, and you find it difficult to ask for or
accept outside help. The joy of competing (and especially winning!)
runs deep in you.
You are very open-minded and deeply
curious about distant places and ways of thinking and living that are
different from your own. The urge to travel widely and to experience as
much of the world as possible is very strong in you. The study of
philosophy or religion also interests you a great deal. You benefit
from your contact with other cultures, and you may be involved in
linking those who are far apart geographically or philosophically.
There is an uneasy balance within you
between personal independence and freedom of thought versus being part
of a collective, sharing beliefs and goals with others. Even if
popularity is important to you, you can't seem to help occasionally
injecting a bit of controversy, or rebelling against the
well-established way of things. Group situations or efforts may
interest you, then feel uncomfortable once you get involved.
You have a serious and structured perception of
reality, are able to concentrate well, and you do everything in a
methodical way. Very thorough and industrious, you work hard towards
the accumulation of possessions and property.

Chapter 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You
You have an innate distrust of groups
and/or a cynical attitude toward society that may leave you feeling out
of step and unable to participate in activities with your peers.
Overcoming a sense of aloofness and alienation from others is an
important task for you.
You take your commitments to others very
seriously, especially in close one-to-one relationships. Your strong
sense of responsibility to the other person makes you a trustworthy and
dedicated partner, but you often feel that marriage or any binding
commitment between yourself and another person is too restrictive and
burdensome, and thus seek to avoid it. Close relationships may be more
work than pleasure for you and it may seem that you are always "working
on" your marriage rather than enjoying it. You will persevere and
ultimately grow through the process, however.
You are subject to rash decisions and impulsive
actions that may have sudden, unexpected consequences and undesirable
results. Not very adaptable, you could have considerable tension with
people and are likely to have disputes or even violent fights with
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which
you instinctively and habitually revert to when under stress - a mostly
unconscious process and one which you are apt to overdo because it is
so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction you need to follow in
order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also
When under stress you are apt to close down the
flow of your emotions, ignoring your needs and feelings in order to do
what you perceive as your duty or simply what the practical realities
of the situation require. This can lead to a certain rigidity and
hardness. If overdone, self-control, self-discipline, or an exaggerated
concern over what society, family or others expect of you makes life
more a burden than an adventure.
Developing tenderness, caring, feeling, and the
feminine, nurturing aspects of yourself is an important step in your
unfolding. You need to learn how to nourish and lovingly attend to both
yourself and others. Letting yourself be taken care of sometimes is
The arena you are most likely to wrestle with
these issues is deep within yourself, as you face your own demons,
fears, and struggles - those aspects of life that are not easily or
readily shared, those parts of yourself or your life that you keep
hidden from public view.
The qualities described above can also be
beneficially channeled into some sort of charitable work, altruistic
service, ministering to people in need.
You tend to be a bit too idealistic and may
place too much hope on your associations with others, resulting in
frequent disappointments. You could be attracted to naive people, but
some of your contacts also may turn out to be swindlers.

Chapter 9: Originality and ImaginationAreas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive
You have a reckless, impulsive, or very
unconventional attitude toward money, material things, and ownership.
Above all, you do not want to be possessed by your possessions. The
obligations of owning things are likely to feel oppressive to you.
Also, you may make your money in a field
that is unconventional, highly unstable, or very inventive and
innovative. Your fortunes are likely to fluctuate widely throughout
Your childhood and early home life were
colored by a great deal of confusion or by people with unusually active
imaginations, aspirations, or fantasies. It is difficult for you to see
your childhood and your relationship with your parents in a clear,
realistic light. You may search for the ideal, loving home you wish you
had, or believe you had, when you were a child. Finding inner peace and
a sense of emotional security within yourself is important to you.
You are likely to have a fixation on
money, wealth, and material resources. You may totally renounce
material desires and ownership, or become obsessed with having, owning,
and accumulating. Your attitudes towards owning, keeping, and sharing
will undergo major changes in your lifetime, and your fortunes are
likely to run very hot or very cold.
Your amorous feelings are likely to be very
intense and you tend to prove your love for someone through exaggerated
gestures. You feel very powerful and irreplaceable and have a tendency
to become obsessed by someone or to force your partner to love you.
Success may not come easy for you, but you
patiently and diligently proceed through life. You could be somewhat of
a loner because you are so dedicated to achieve your goals that you
don't have much time for social activity.

Chapter 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group
In this chapter we will discuss characteristics
and traits of your generation. Of course, you may not share all of the
characteristics of your generation, but you are greatly affected by the
tone that is set by your generation.
The first topic is "The Subconscious and
Emotional Drive of Your Age Group". In this section we will describe a
deeply felt urge, even compulsion, of your age group. This deeply felt
drive comes to the surface with great force and power, and consequently
leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and change. The second topic
is "The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group", that describes the
dreams, fantasies, and spiritual aspirations of your age group. The
third and last topic is "What is New and Different in Your Age Group",
which describes areas in which your age group tends to be innovative,
inventive, unusual, and also where it may be unstable and unreliable.
The characteristics described below may affect
a group of people for anywhere from a few years to about 30 years.
There are one or more different astrological factors described in each
of the three sections below.
The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group
You are part of a 15 year group of people that
are driven by the need to find an ethical standard and a clear sense of
what is right and what is wrong. There is a subconscious drive to
straighten out all the world's evils and create a world of perfect
order. There is a feeling of repulsion to anything ugly, dirty, or
grotesque. Oddly enough, there is also often a fascination with these
very things that are so distasteful, and often a feeling of
hopelessness and despair about the world's condition.
These inner, emotional and conflicting
qualities are reflected in the attitudes and life styles of your
generation. Most people of your age group are conservative and ethical,
and a small minority goes to the opposite extreme and relishes being
strange or unusual in appearance, and sloppy or even grotesque in
manners and appearance. There seems to be no middle ground for your
generation. Usually, the rebellious type of behavior comes out during
adolescence, and tends to subside thereafter, and your age group tends
to be very conservative in later life.
Your age group is not very good at compromising
and tends to have strong ideas about what is right and what is wrong.
There is a strong feeling that you must extinguish evil in the world.
Certainly, fostering good works is very commendable, but a categorical
and simple-minded response to complex issues is not helpful. Your age
group will undergo great transformations in attitudes regarding Good
and Evil and will swing to great extremes. Your generation will also
make great contributions in the areas of medicine and nutrition,
ecology, and education.
The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group
You are part of a 14 year group of people that
have very intense psychic sensitivity and imagination. Your age group
is very attracted to the strange, weird, and unusual. The sense of the
macabre and bizarre is strong, and this is reflected in much of the
music, art, and fashions of your age group. Novels and movies with
mystery and chilling suspense are also popular with your age group.
Emotional depression, drug use, and suicide are likely to be relatively
high in your age group. There is also a deep mystical sense, and
Eastern religions and meditation are very attractive to your age group.
What is New and Different in Your Age Group
You are part of a 7 year group of people who
employ their skills and creativity to bring about a great deal of
practical reform in education, medical care, and other social services.
Your innovations are not radical or unusual, but they are usually
Your generation also has a curious mixture of
both conservative, ethical people, and rebellious, disruptive people.
There seems to be little middle ground for your age group, and you
swing to one extreme or the other. The conservative people strive to
reinstate strict moral standards, want to swiftly punish criminal
behavior, and strive to highlight the importance of old-fashioned
values in our lives, laws, and overall life style. On the other hand,
the rebellious people of your generation are angry at the established
way of doing things and act in a defiant, crude, and coarse manner.
